ABOUT ME
Hi! My name is Debbie Santee. I am a dyslexia therapist. I am also a parent and former classroom teacher. I have homeschooled my children and tutored public, private and homeschooled students. I am not only a tutor and dyslexia therapist but also a reading and writing coach for my students. I explain to my students they should think of me as a reading and writing coach. A good coach equips, encourages and sees the potential in each individual on a team. I equip students with the skills they need to become confident readers and writers. I encourage not only students but also families. Often, parents of a struggling reader wonder why this is so difficult. Not only do students need the skills and encouragement to succeed, but parents also need encouragement, as they help their child. I am on this journey to help students embrace their potential. As students struggle with reading, they often feel frustrated and defeated, I enjoy walking alongside these students to help them see their potential.
